Folklore Elements in Vallikannan Novels

Folk literature is created by the common people and preserved them. Vallikannan a renowned writer, journalist author of all kinds literature, his novels Iruttu Raja, Ninaivu charam Oruveetin Kathi describe life Saiva Velalar in Nellai district rustic form. Among these games children's are swinging, playing Tayakkatam, singing dancing, pandi, Kannambuchi. Other folk songs, titling, calling women their village names, proverbs, performances related to religion, celebrating festivals, paying tribute temple during performing arts, naming, marriage, processions, arts programs at weddings. They use figure speech speech. The proverbs local idioms used reveals author's general knowledge approach people. It can be seen that elements found lullabies, tales, stories, fables, myths, etc mixed with character sentiment Tamil article about folklore novels.
